Exploring the Soul Through Story-Telling

Irish writer and film critic Gareth Higgins comes to Laguna Beach to explore the landscape of the American soul through its best-known art form: film.

Join Higgins in a 7 p.m. conversation Sunday, May 18, at Neighborhood Congregational Church about his book “Cinematic States” with Laguna author and journalist Cathleen Falsani.

The talk will be accompanied by clips from films that illustrate the American soul (some iconic, some obscure, some just for fun).

Higgins is a guest of Falsani’s Incubate:Spirit Workshop for Writers and Creatives on Monday, May 19.
