From Stately to Nondescript

Editor,

I wish to add my voice to the chorus of those who bemoan the devastation currently occurring on Ocean Avenue. As many others have said, eliminating established, stately trees from our city streets will result in making Laguna Beach look like any other nondescript Orange County suburb.

One doesn’t need to be an expert to know how long it takes for trees to grow. If the trees were endangering a building, why not prune them? If the sidewalks were disturbed, why not redo the sidewalks? I am appalled and disappointed at what is going on, and object to my taxes being put to such use.
