Gala Tops Historic Goal

Over 300 people attended the Boys & Girls Club’s 12th annual Art of Giving gala earlier in the month, the most successful in the club’s history.

Event chair and board member Carrie Click set the “Rio Samba” theme at the Montage resort with dancers, exotic birds, signature cocktails, fine food and friends.

Guests were treated to a live dance performance and video produced by club alum Kelsey Laroche. Its subjects demonstrated the benefits of membership. In addition, supporters pledged over $100,000 in contributions. “We are extremely grateful that the community has embraced the Club and helped us to achieve our most successful event ever,” president Bill Wood said.

Supporters include Tuttle-Click, Crevier Classic Cars, Judy and Keith Swayne, Cox Communications, Hearts of

Club supporters Dave and Holly Wilson.

Montage, Leisure World, Cigna, Union Bank, Gordon L. Mountjoy, Karen and Jon Jaffe, and Morris Skenderian and Associates. Auction items were donated by the Click Family, Shell Vacations, Kelly and Jim Mazzo, MGM Grand, Tuttle-Click Automotive Group, Peter and Helen Maxwell, Montage Laguna and Deer Valley, Chase Merritt, Resort Equities, and True Food Kitchen. Firebrand Media, Phyllis and Dave Phillips, Chase Merritt, Eadington, Merhab & Eadington, and Go Rentals underwrote expenses for the event.
