Garret Donald McGann

Garret Donald McGann.

Laguna Beach native Garret Donald McGann, beloved son of Susan Pebley and Don McGann and youngest brother of Miles and Grant McGann, lost his battle with drug addiction May 25 at the age of 25 in Sandpoint, Ida.

McGann was a charismatic personality and his passion for the outdoors was evidenced by his love of surfing, fishing, hunting, and spear fishing. His love of adventure took him all over the globe. He was caring, fun loving, exceptionally intelligent and likeable. He attended Azusa Pacific University and was currently enrolled at Boise State University. During his brief time on earth, McGann had a profound impact on others struggling with addiction and he will be missed dearly.

McGann’s ashes will be spread in the ocean he loved at a memorial service held in Three Arch Bay Beach on Sunday, June 3, at 5:30 p.m. The service will be immediately followed by a reception at Three Arch Bay Park. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in McGann’s name to either Outward Bound (https://alumni.outwardbound.org/NetCommunity/SSLPage.aspx?pid=276) or Elk Mountain Academy (P.O. Box 411, Clark Fork, ID 83811-0411
