Grammy Winning Guitarists to Perform

Mark Hanson and Doug Smith, masters of finger-style acoustic guitar, will perform at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10 in the church sanctuary at Laguna Presbyterian Church, 415 Forest Ave.

The two have performed together and combined their talents in several productions over the years, including their Grammy winning contributions to the tribute CD, “Henry Mancini Pink Guitar.”

A donation of $10 per person is suggested.

Chamber Music For Lovers

Laguna Beach Live! will host singer Christina Linhardt and pianist Joshua Chandra in a free chamber music concert on Thursday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. at Laguna Art Museum. The Valentine’s Day concert will feature songs of romance in classical to cabaret styles.

Youths See Butterflies On Stage

Laguna Playhouse presents their Youth Theater production of “I Never Saw Another Butterfly” beginning Thursday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m., at 606 Laguna Canyon Rd.

Written by Celeste Raspanti and directed by Donna Inglima, the show will run for five performances.

Slip On Dancin’ Shoes

Bring your Valentine to Laguna Presbyterian Church’s Tankersley Hall on Friday, Feb. 15 from 7:15 to 9 p.m. where Laguna’s Swing Set Band will play for your dancing pleasure.

A $10 donation is requested. Tankersley Hall is located in the middle of Second Street, between Mermaid and Forest.

 

Visiting Professor Shares His Wit

Story teller and spoken word book reviewer Robert Adams will give a special presentation on Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel’s book “The Forgotten,” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Irvine’s Tarbut V’Torah (upper school theater), 5 Federation Way.

Valentine’s Special Available for Pageant3 getting out Tickets2013

Laguna Beach’s Pageant of the Masters offers special Valentine’s Day priced tickets for “The Big Picture” for $14 for Director’s Tier Side seating through Thursday, Feb. 14. Tickets are originally $20 to $30, and show runs July 7 to Aug. 31. Prices only apply to Sunday through Thursday performances.
