AlmaNova Appearing in Free Concert

 

Laguna Beach Live! presents AlmaNova in a free chamber music concert on Sunday, April 3, at the Laguna College of Art & Design, 3 to 4:30 p.m.

AlmaNova is a flute and guitar duo presenting an eclectic program of music from all over the world.  They have traveled all over the world playing their unique blend of classical repertoire infused with music from the Balkans, Spain, Latin America, and the British Isles.

 

 

Performances are held in Studio 8 at the Laguna College of Art & Design, 2222 Laguna Canyon Road. The College Art Gallery will be open at 2 p.m. with an all-student competition and exhibition.

Jazz Trio Heats Up Hotel Laguna

 

Laguna Beach Live! presents The Eric Dries Trio on Wednesday, April 6, in its winter series at Hotel Laguna. Joining the trio-leading pianist will be John Crooks on bass and Jacob Wendt on drums.

The trio performs in the Catalina Room off the hotel bar in two sets at 6 and 7:45 p.m. Cover charge is $10 per show with food and beverages available.

Reservations can be made at 949-494-1151 and will be held until 15 minutes before the show begins. The second show is expected to be lighter in attendance.

The series finishes with Slice, a vibes, keyboard and trumpet trio featuring Bijon Watson on April 20. The summer series begins June 8 with the Latin Jazz Syndicate.  More information online at www.lagunabeachlive.org.
