Alexandra Lewis hit four three-point shots to spark Laguna to a 51-21 win over Century this past Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Dugger Gym. Lewis finished with 21 points while Sydney DeCarlo added 10, Nicole Davidson and Any Nygaard each added nine points and Jasmine Banks chipped in two.
Last week, Laguna closed out their participation in the So Cal Holiday Classic with a pair of wins defeating Knight (Palmdale) 53-31 on Monday, Dec. 29, at West Hills High School in Santee. Alexandra Lewis hit for 30 points including seven three-pointers. Breakers took San Pasqual (Escondido) 37-18 on Tuesday, Dec. 30, in their final tournament contest played at Valhalla High School.
Later this week Laguna will travel to Santiago/Garden Grove (2-6) on Friday, Jan. 9, before opening league play on Tuesday at Costa Mesa. Orange Coast League looks very balanced this year with two-time defending champion Estancia (7-7) is still a slight favorite for the 2015 crown. Breakers travel to the Eagles on Jan. 20 and will host them Feb. 3.
