Laguna’ 20th season got underway this past Tuesday, Nov. 29, as the deep and talented Breakers blasted El Toro 17-3 behind Aria Fischer’s six goals and two assists while Bella Baldridge scored twice and dished out six assists. Goalie Thea Walsh had six saves and scores a goal on a full court shot. Breakers used 18 players in the contest and now hold a 12-4 series edge. Laguna’s JV took the Charger JV 21-0.
Laguna is off until Dec. 13 when they will host Edison slightly shorthanded. Breakers will be without Aria Fischer, Coach Ethan Damato and goalie Thea Walsh, participating in the USA Youth National Team at the world championship in Auckland, New Zealand. The USA team faces Japan on Dec 12 followed by Greece and China. The finals are scheduled for Dec. 18.
