We were happily surprised to find that a number of papers picked up the story sent out by the Mariners Sea Scouts. At best they printed the story exactly as the volunteer doing publicity wrote it, and at worst they edited the copy in unusual ways. The Indy was the only publication that had a reporter call and then wrote its own story (“Navigating Towards a Mariner’s Prize,” Sports, Feb. 17).
We’ve always loved our hometown paper, but now we’re sure it rules!
Thank you for the kind attention you gave Liz. I means a great deal to our family.
