Currently on exhibit at the museum is “David Ligare: the California Classicist,” whose work is based on the classical principles of beauty and order. Also, “The Canyon Project: Artivism!,” looks back at the work of artists Jerry Burchfield (1948–2009) and Mark Chamberlain, who considered Laguna Canyon to be crucial to the identity of their hometown of Laguna Beach. In 1980, with the threat of development in the canyon, the two artists devised an art project to rally canyon protection through activism.

Sponsors are Laguna Beach resident Jim Burba, a hospitality expert, and partner Bob Hayes, co-founder and vice president of Burba Hotel Network, which organizes hospitality industry conferences.
