Caden Capobianco drove in the go-ahead run to give team Crescent Bay Advisors the lead in the seventh inning, as they hung on to beat Hobie 5-2 on Wednesday, April 9.
Nolan Naess singled to get on base in the seventh. He then went from first to third on a double by Jack Payne.
Jack had two extra-base hits for CBA. He doubled in the fourth and seventh innings.
The team got the win thanks in large part to Charlie Pillsbury’s dominant, 10-strikeout performance. Pillsbury allowed two earned runs, three hits and one walk over seven innings.
The bottom of the first saw team Hobie take an early lead, 1-0. Adam Kerfoot started the rally for Hobie with a double. A groundout by Zack Bonnin then moved Adam from second to third.
