If it’s not Baroque, Go Hear It

The Saddleback Master Chorale and director Charles Stephenson invite the public to enjoy The Golden Age of Baroque, featuring the music of Purcell, Scarlatti, Pachelbel and other period composers in two concerts Aug. 26 and 28.
The performances will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1042 Temple Terrace, and at 3 p.m Sunday, Aug. 28, at St. Catherine of Siena Parish School Chapel, 3090 S. Coast Highway.

Jazz Quartet Hits its Rhythm Outdoors

Laguna Beach Live! features the Sal Cracchiolo & Melanie Jackson Quartet in the Jazz Wednesdays series Aug. 31 outdoors at Hotel Laguna, 425 S. Coast Highway.
Cracchiolo and Jackson, husband and wife, trumpeter and vocalist, came together because of their love of jazz as well as Latin and Brazilian music. They performed this past year to an appreciative audience who requested a return appearance.

Guitarist and local Toulouse Engelhardt performs in a free 7 p.m. concert at the Laguna Beach Library, Friday, Aug. 26, sponsored by The Friends of The Library.
Recording artist Englehardt has recorded and toured with some of the music world’s most influential artists.
