At nearly 80, Laguna Beach resident Gene Nalbandian’s experiences range from starting his own business to a stint as a player for the Chicago Cubs.
The descendant of Armenian Genocide survivors, Nalabandian’s first book, “Lamentations of a Dad: How Takeaways Led to Comebacks,” gives an insight into how these experiences shaped him.
“It hasn’t always been easy,” shares Nalbandian. “Especially losing my son to a long hard fight with drug addiction, however, through all of my life there have been opportunities to learn and grow and I hope readers will take away information they can use in their own life.”
Nalbandian will be signing copies of his book at 7 p.m. at the First Armenian Presbyterian Church in Fresno Wednesday, Sept. 28.
