Local Teens Step Up for a Good Cause

A fundraiser designed by the Walking for Water Club of Laguna Beach High School and the Healing Hands Club of San Clement High School will raise funds to build wells for fresh water in West Africa’s Burkina Fasso.

The Walking for Water and Healing Hands Feast for Water will be held Saturday, Feb. 8, from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Neighborhood Congregational Church, 342 St. Ann’s Dr.

The event is sponsored by Wisdom Spring. Tickets are $20. Donations can be made online at wisdomspringinc.org or to Wisdom Spring Inc., 826 Cliff Drive, Laguna Beach.

The feast is part of the free fifth annual Green Valentine festival, from 11 a.m.- 9 p.m., which celebrates kids and teens as the next generation of change makers in the world.
