The Missiles of October will play their final show Sunday, Nov. 8 at the Marine Room Tavern in Laguna Beach marking the end of their 25-year run as the bar’s house band, Brittany Ryan, the Marine Room’s general manager said in a statement. The farewell concert takes place from 4-8 p.m. at 214 Ocean Avenue.
For two and a half decades, the Sunday concerts with the Missiles of October at the Marine Room Tavern have become an institution in the community. “These guys are local music icons. We wish them all the best and are truly grateful for the joy they brought to every show,” said Ryan.
“It’s been great to be here every week while they play, they’ll truly be missed” said Rob Boyd, who tended bar through the Missiles’ entire 25 year run.
The band Slingshot will take over house band duties.
