Laguna’s giving culture will be made visible at the festive second annual Info Expo from 9 a.m. to noon, on Saturday, May 7, in the parking lot at Forest Avenue and Broadway next to the Farmers’ Market.

This year’s expo, produced by the Laguna Beach Community Alliance, promises to be more colorful than the first, while also providing the public with information on local non profits, such as who to call for free pet food or where to donate books or gently used clothing.

More than 60 local groups are already signed up and ready to decorate their parking space in attention-getting signature style.

With a hometown-bazaar atmosphere of fun and frolic, local groups exchange information, ideas, music and more to inspire participation, recruit volunteers and inform the public.  ”This is history in the making for Laguna,” said Sita Helms of Helping Hand Worldwide.  “When we can get people to work together and collaborate, we can make a huge difference in our community.”
