Harry Laurence certainly made many contributions to Laguna Beach. The impact of his passion for family, friends, and his country are well documented and accolades are well deserved. However, I’m sure it was an oversight that there was no mention of having been survived by his only daughter, Susan, by his first wife Maxine. This adored daughter grew up in Laguna and attended the Laguna Beach School District, contributing her own attributes to our town.

Unfortunately, the headline echoes the letter writer’s spelling, which is as you point out is wrong. The spelling was correct in the original obituary.
