Music Organization Receives Grants

Laguna Beach Live! announced receiving national and local support in the way of grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and Laguna Beach Community Foundation.

The NEA prize, the second for Laguna Beach Live, is particularly prestigious since proposals are weighed against organizations from across the country. Other recipients in this funding cycle include Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Kronos Quartet, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Ojai Festival.

Laguna Beach Live!’s $11,500 grant will support its Music Festival, Feb. 5-10, which focuses on the music of South America and features tango legend Pablo Ziegler and others.

The foundation also continued its support of Laguna Beach Live! concerts and education programs with a $2,000 grant.
