“Alzheimers: A Love Story,” won the best of the fest award and two others earlier this month at the inaugural Laguna Film Festival, founded by Laguna Beach High School student Austin Fickman.
A jury deciding the winning short films in eight categories included Austin’s father, film director Andy Fickman, and many others.
“Just like when making a film, it takes many people, coming together to realize a vision, we did just that this weekend. We can’t wait for next year’s festival,” said Fickman.
