Top of the World Elementary fourth-grader Jessica MacCallum, who plays tennis in the USTA, won the singles and doubles title in the girls 10 and under division at a recent tournament.
The competition at the 32nd annual Anaheim Tennis Center Spring Jr. Open is one of the biggest tournaments of the year, said Jessica’s parents, Todd MacCallum and Stefanie Fightlin.
Jessica was the fifth seed and won four singles matches to win the tournament. She then went on to partner with the top seed to win the doubles title as well.
Jessica, 10, trains with the Advantage Tennis Academy at the Racquet Club of Irvine, her father said.
