News of Bishop Simon

Editor,

This letter is intended for the people of Laguna Beach. The bishop of St. Francis by the Sea in Laguna Beach wants to extend his apologies for any misunderstandings or missed appointments. He also wants to thank St. Mary’s and Reverend Elizabeth Rechter for so generously and compassionately lending a hand. “God will not forget your good works and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people.” Hebrews 6:10.

Bishop Simon, who owns St. Francis by the Sea, became ill earlier this year and has had several relapses in recovery, but he is under a doctor’s care now, and his daughter Nora Lee Talarczyk, is over seeing his recovery.

Nora Lee and Jessica deStefano, the granddaughter of Percy Wise Clarkson, the founder of St. Francis, agree that the church will always be preserved as a historic landmark and that hopefully Bishop Simon will be returning to the pulpit as soon as he recovers.

In the mean time he urges all those who love the church to not forget their faith and to remember to, “Do good and to share with others.” Hebrews 13:16.

Those needing further information may contact Nora Lee Talarczyk or Jessica deStefano at 497-3139.

Thank you.

Jessica deStefano
