Fire Department Adds New Staff
Firefighter Adam Fugate has been hired to work the city’s Agate Street station.
Fugate, who holds an associate’s degree from Victor Valley College and is also a licensed paramedic, lives in Orange County.
Twelve new reserve volunteer firefighters have also joined the department and completed their training last week.
The new reserve crew will assist the full-time firefighters with their daily duties
Law Group Elects a Local Leader
Laguna Beach resident Lester J. Savit was elected to join the board of the Orange County chapter of the American Inn of Court, based in Alexandria, Va.
Savit helped establish the professional group locally in 2013. It focuses on intellectual property litigation, a specialty in high demand by technology companies. Its mission is to advance skills, professionalism and ethics of the intellectual property bench and bar.
Rec Programs Get New Supervisor
Adam Gufarotti will take over the position of recreation supervisor in the city’s Community Services Department. He will oversee city recreation programs and special events as well as manage the Lang Park Community Center.
Gufarotti has been promoted from his previous position as pool manager.
