Philanthropist Wins Recognition
Laguna Beach resident Socorro Vasquez, a community volunteer dedicated to bringing arts education to Orange County youth, was among six women recognized for their leadership by the Girl Scouts of Orange County.
As a South Coast Repertory board member, Vasquez supports its Theater for Young Audiences. She was also an early supporter of The Wooden Floor, a dance program for underprivileged youth in Santa Ana, and developed its concert receptions to highlight the program’s mission.
The women, who will be recognized at the organization’s leadership fete in November, will be paired with a current scout, connecting future leaders with current ones
