I’d say that justifying the use and promotion of plastic bags for the picking up of dog poop is quite far-fetched in the article, “Plastic Bag-Ban Bad News for Pet Owners?” There are numerous alternatives.
As stated, biodegradable bags are such a better alternative: healthier for the environment, sturdier, and the right size. I’d say take advantage of paper bags and use them the same way, collect the bags offered on trails, or invest in some biodegradable bags. The fact is that our environment is being adversely affected by plastic bags not being used for purposes like these and tossed away. The majority end up in our oceans and as ugly trash on our sidewalks.
