Pot Delivery Rules Interfere With Personal Choice

Editor,

It isn’t hard to believe that our Laguna Beach City Council may enact a new city ordinance banning people who have letters from their doctors or hold a current medical marijuana card from calling a marijuana dispensary and requesting a delivery of marijuana to their front door.

This is the city of “no” after all — constantly interfering in local citizen’s personal lives. How does the city propose to enforce the new rule? Prohibiting phone calls for marijuana? Tap our phones? Ask the National Security Agency to report such calls?

Dispensary marijuana deliveries are made in unmarked cars and are a personal matter between a individual and a dispensary.

If this rule goes into effect and is an idea from our new police chief, Laura Farinella, I believe the chief should resign.
