The school district upgraded its point of sale software last month, which now allows parents to establish student accounts to make lunch payments electronically.

“Parents can set up their child’s account to automatically replenish funds when the balance is low, establish re- occurring payments, and use e-checks,” said Asst. Supt. of Business Services Dean West. Parents can also prohibit specific purchases or specify “meal and milk only,” he said.

The program is intended to keep the student lunch line moving by speeding up the point of sale process.
