Derek Moore of Orange won the grand prize in the Ocean Institute’s Million Dollar Home Laguna Beach Raffle on Saturday, Nov. 3.
He will now have the opportunity to choose between $1 million cash or a Laguna Beach home. Moore, for the first time in the history of the raffle, was present in the crowd of more than 500 when his name was drawn. Moore was a double winner; he also won an Apple iPad.
Over 19,000 tickets were sold for the raffle, which raises funds for the Dana Point Institute’s ocean science and maritime history programs.
