Award-winning singer-songwriter Emily Elbert will be performing her brand of soulful jazz at The Marine Room, 214 Ocean Ave., on Tuesday, July 17, as a part of Beth Fitchet Wood’s Songwriter Showcase. Music begins at 8 p.m. with a set by Wood.
Known for her guitar-playing ability, original compositions, and interpretive cover versions, 23-year-old Elbert is a Texas native and recent graduate of Berklee College of Music.
Among her awards, Elbert has been recognized as Glamour Magazine’s Top 10 College Women and Boston radio station WUMB’s best new artist of the year.
