In the aftermath of last December’s flooding, Laguna Beach’s Rotary Club sought assistance from its international foundation and other club for financial help for flood victims.
With support from Rotary Clubs in Chile Chico, Chile, and Ciudad Delicias, Mexico, as well as the local club and its foundation provided an $18,400 grant.
Funds helped to replace furniture and appliances for those in most need, totaling 13 families. Donna Valenti, director of the Relief and Resource Center, and volunteer coordinator Ann Quilter, assisted the club.
