The Laguna Beach Community Foundation has awarded a $3,000 grant to the Laguna Beach Girl Scouts, established locally in 1930.
This grant will be instrumental in helping us make the world a better place by enhancing our team’s capacity to develop girl’s leadership skills, said Stephanie Andrews, service unit manager. Each troop will also receive a set of Girl Scout publications, updated for each level.
Membership has grown to nearly 500 girls and adults, most local residents, she said, adding, “We rely solely on volunteers to staff key managerial positions.”
