Scores of kids participated in Laguna Beach’s annual youth track meet on Friday, March 22, including Calvin Capelle. His time of 2:43 in the Division 4 boys 800 meter smashed the city record of 2:58, held since 2004 by Joseph Rosseau, according to recreation supervisor Thomas Toman.
Everett Capelle, Division 1 Boys, placing first in 50 meter, second in 100 meter and first in long jump.Maesen Silva, in Division 2 Girls, placed first in 50 and 100 meter and second in the 400.Ella Steinbach, Division 7 Girls, placed first in the 50 meter, the 400 and the 1600.
Marlena Steinbach: Division 1 Girls, placed third in the 100 meter and first in the 200 meter and long jump.
