Drake Martinez, the star tailback for Laguna Beach, has committed to playing collegiate ball at Nebraska next year. Drake will be joining his brother Taylor in Omaha. Taylor is the starting quarterback for the Cornhuskers.
Martinez and his coaches are undecided on what role he will fill on the gridiron; he may play safety, wide receiver, or running back.
This past season, Martinez was named to Orange County Register’s All-County team.
