Customer Robbed Outside a Market
A man brandished a kitchen knife and stole a computer from a woman eating lunch outside a north Laguna market on Monday, April 22, about 11 a.m., police said.
The suspect fled north in a waiting vehicle and successfully eluded police.
The victim and a witness, who chased the suspect, said the robber made threats as he made his way towards Coast Highway waving a large knife, Sgt. Louise Callus said.

Monday, April 15
Peeping tom. 22300 Eagle Rock Way. 8 a.m. A woman, who had been walking around her house in the nude, confronted a man crouching near bushes just below her kitchen window. The man with a buzz cut and in his 20s fled the immediate area.
Burglary. 31500 block of Bluff Dr. 10:47 a.m. A $600 iPad mini was swiped from a car after thieves smashed a window.
Vandalism. 3200 block of Alta Laguna Blvd. 10:51 a.m. Park benches are tagged.
Traffic stop. Montage. 1 p.m. A 47-year-old Laguna Beach woman was cited for outstanding DUI warrants and held for $15,000 bail.
DUI. 600 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. 6:34 p.m. A 35-year-old Fullerton woman was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Traffic stop. 300 block of Broadway St. 11:19 p.m. A 22-year-old Tustin man was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Burglary. 13-01219. 800 block of Cliff Dr. 9:31 a.m. The victim believes $10,000 in jewelry was taken from his home while caregivers where in the house caring for his ailing wife.

Detective activity. 100 block of N. Syracruse St., Anaheim. 10:33 a.m. As a result of a fraud investigation, Lorena Guadelupe Arreguin, 32, of Anaheim, was arrested for suspicion of burglary, grand theft, forgery and identity theft.
Vehicle burglary. 100 block of Cliff Dr. 6 p.m. Thieves broke a passenger window and stole a purse left on the passenger seat.
Traffic stop. Bluebird Canyon Dr. A 21-year-old Laguna woman was cited for driving on a revoked license and other charges.
Fraud. 400 block of Calliope St. 12:12 p.m. A woman received a request for information on a line of credit she had not sought.

Fraud. 31800 block of Coast Hwy. 6:45 p.m. Medical bills for about $600 were received by the victim from Mission Hospital for procedures and services he did not obtain.
Thursday, April 18
Muni code violation. Moss St. 2 p.m. A sunbather was cited for soaking up rays while in the nude.
Friday, April 19
Traffic stop. Broadway St. 12:08 a.m. A 39-year-old San Clemente man was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
H&S activity. 300 block of El Paseo. 8:23 a.m. Probationer Eddie Steven Olesiak, 26, of Laguna Beach was arrested for suspicion of multiple drug offenses after a witness reported he was smoking pot near Main Beach. He allegedly was holding 0.75 grams of meth and a similar amount of marijuana.

Traffic stop. Broadway St. 1:30 a.m. A 32-year-old Colorado woman was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Traffic stop. Canyon Acres. 3 a.m. A 51-year-old Compton man was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Traffic stop. 500 block of S. Coast Hwy. 3:20 p.m. A 32-year-old Texas man was arrested for possession of pot for sale. Bail was set at $25,000.
Pedestrian stop. Dumond Dr. 3:35 p.m. A 24-year-old man was cited for an outstanding warrant and vehicle code violation.
Sunday, April 21
Prowler. 700 block of Bluebird Canyon Dr. 12:25 a.m. While a resident suspected thieves, police discovered two part time handymen working later than approved and without the owner’s permission.
Traffic stop. 30800 block of Coast hwy. 4:18 a.m. A 19-year-old Sun City man was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Vandalism. 1400 block of Glenneyre St. 9:42 a.m. Thieves ransacked a business after smashing a glass door to gain entry.
Rape. 100 block of High Dr. 5:46 p.m. A woman reported refusing the advances of a man she recently met at the beach. He allegedly choked, hit and sexually assaulted her. Police are investigating.
