Traffic collision. 2:57 p.m. Broadway and Beach St. A 20-year-old female backing out of a space, hit the gas instead of the break and hit a southbound vehicle.
Burglary. 200 block of San Joaquin St. A woman reported the theft of a newly purchased blue $470 David Meister dress from her closet. Several suspects were identified.
Grand theft. 5:09 p.m. 200 block Grandview St. Two dictating machines, folding pocket knives, auto chains, blankets and tools valued at $950 were taken overnight from an unlocked vehicle.
Fire. 6:35 p.m. 2600 Queda Way. A small transformer caught fire.
Tuesday, Feb. 21
Hit and run. 2:34 p.m. 1000 block N. Cliff Drive. Tisha Nicole Allen, 32, of Costa Mesa, was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving after being involved in a hit and run traffic collision with a parked pickup. She was located in the 100 block of Cliff Drive next to her damaged vehicle. Due to two prior convictions, she was held for $15,000 bail.
Wednesday, Feb. 22
Forgery. 9:34 a.m. 1900 block Laguna Canyon Rd. A former employee of an auto service is suspected in a $5,000 check forgery. Robert Henry Cast, 47, of Mission Viejo, was arrested later in the week, charged with theft and fraud.
Hit and run. 7:38 p.m. Nyes Place. A 43-year-old San Juan Capistrano woman was arrested for suspicion of hit and run after sideswiping another vehicle.
Fight. 3200 blk Alta Laguna Blvd. Called to break up a fight among 10 people, police found the combatants departing. A 15-year-old was detained for intoxication.
Traffic stop. 9:42 p.m. Park Ave. An 18-year-old Mission Viejo boy was detained for DUI and held for $2,500 bail.
Traffic stop. 11:45 p.m. 1800 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. A 29-year-old Anaheim woman was arrested for DUI and held for $10,000 bail. Police could not confirm an earlier conviction.
Thursday, Feb. 23
Grand theft. 3:44 p.m. Ocean Ave. Jewelry valued at $2,600, including a Cartier watch, was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in a parking lot.
Hit and run. 5:06 p.m. S. Coast Hwy. Officers located an abandoned vehicle on Aster Street that had been involved in two hit and run collisions. No one was injured.
Traffic stop. 10 p.m. 200 block of Broadway. Michael McLoren, 33, of Pomona, who was pulled over for a traffic violation, was arrested for an outstanding bench warrant.
Friday, Feb. 24
Attempted burglary. 9:33 a.m. 31500 Catalina St. A resident returned home to find a screen taken off a window and damage to a window. Nothing was stolen.
Skateboard accident. 2:40 p.m. 300 block San Tropez Ct. A 9-year-old said he couldn’t move his legs, according to the log.
Fraud. 3:50 p.m. 400 blk S. Coast Hwy. A fraudulent receipt for $47 was used yesterday.
Burglary. 7:26 p.m. 20400 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. Rear window was smashed and a laptop stolen. Loss is $1,500.
Traffic stop. 11:50 p.m. Third Ave. A 33-year-old Aliso Viejo woman was arrested for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Traffic stop. 11:58 p.m. 200 block of Brooks St. A 46-year-old Capo Beach womah was cited for DUI and held for $2,500 bail.

Traffic stop. 12:53 a.m. Thalia St. A 30-year-old Anaheim woman was arrested for DUI and held for $2,500.
Speed race. 2:16 a.m. Cress St. A 27-year-old from Mission Viejo was cited for DUI and held for $2,500 bail.
Traffic stop. 1:51 a.m. South Coast Highway at Solana Way . Robert Rostomyan, 32, of Glendale, was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving. Bail was $10,000 due to a prior DUI arrest.
Vandalism. 6:44 p.m. 2100 blk S. Coast Hwy. Tenants moving allegedly splashed paint all through the complex.
