Monday, June 25

Assault. 10:31 a.m. 200 block of Cliff Dr. A 65-year-old Laguna Beach man was arrested for misdemeanor spousal battery and violation of a restraining order after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.

Burglary. 11:48 a.m. 10000 block Laguna Canyon Rd. Someone entered the Boys and Girls Club and stole $50 worth of snack food.

Bomb threat. 6:18 p.m. 2300 Glenneyre St. A winged metal shell apparently abandoned by the previous occupant was detonated by the bomb squad.

Vehicle burglary. 6:37 p.m. 1100 block of coast View Dr. Someone broke into a BMW, making off with a laptop, headphones and a bag together valued at $1500.

Traffic stop. 6:37 p.m. 100 block of N. Coast Hwy. Rebecca Lynn Casper, 53, of Laguna Beach, was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving. Her bail was $15,000 due to prior convictions.

 

Tuesday, June 26

DUI. 2 a.m. S. Coast Hwy. A 22-year-old Monarch Beach resident was arrested for DUI and held for $2500 bail.

Vandalism. 9 a.m. 100 block Cleo St. While a resident was away, someone trimmed his trees. He suspects a neighbor who previously complained about a blocked view.

Traffic stop. 11:31 p.m. Thalia St. A 24-year-old Laguna Beach resident was arrested for DUI and held for $2,500 bail.

 

Wednesday, June 27

Traffic stop. 4:24 a.m. Laguna Canyon. Trevor Stimson, 39, of Laguna Beach, was arrested for suspicion of DUI and held for $10,000 due to a previous arrest.

Detective activity. Via Cresta. Lee Anthony Panzarella, 52, of Rancho Santa Margarita, was arrested for suspicion of burglary and held for $20,000 bail. He is suspected of attempting to sell for cash a Ganahl Lumber gift card, which he had obtained after returning merchandise allegedly stolen earlier at the Laguna Beach yard.

Stolen property. 9:30 a.m. 700 block of Wilson St. Susan Deasy Pinto, 61, of Laguna Beach, was arrested for suspicion of stolen property and bail was set at $20,000. A $40 lamp that police found in Pinto’s car was reported stolen by a friend, who earlier had ejected Pinto from her home where she was discovered uninvited,  mixing herself a drink of vodka.

Petty theft. 2 p.m. Thousand Steps Beach. Two female juveniles reported they attempted without success to confront four male juveniles they suspect of stealing their purses.

Grand theft. 2:22 p.m. 20600 Laguna Canyon Rd. A box of video gear valued at $1182 disappeared.

 

Thursday, June 28

Traffic stop. 1 a.m. 1900 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. Douglas Lee Rose, 26, Diamond Bar, was arrested for suspicion of DUI and driving on a suspended license after nearly colliding with a police car. Bail was set at $10,000 bail due to a prior offense.

Burglary. 31700 block of Fifth Avenue. A 16-year-old neighbor is suspected of helping himself to liquor while a home was unoccupied.

Gas leak. 10 a.m. 200 block of Wave St. The Red Cross was called to assist a woman and her sons find alternate housing when the fire department and code enforcement determined her rented property was uninhabitable. The resident called police to complain about exhaust from an idling car belonging to the landlord.

Vandalism. 10:45 p.m. 2900 block of S Coast Hwy. Two juvenile males were observed breaking a window at a vet clinic and then fleeing up Hinkle Street.

Traffic stop. 600 Laguna Canyon rd. 11:04 p.m. A 24-year-old Lake Forest man was arrested for DUI and held for $2500 bail.

 

Saturday, June 29

Fight. 2100 block Laguna Canyon Rd. 6 :23 a.m. Intoxicated Eduardo Garcia Mercado, 47, of Laguna Hills, was arrested for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after lunging at his construction boss with a screw driver. Bail was set at $50,000.

Detective activity. 11:24 a.m. Fountain Valley. Amy Rose Ann Solis, 32, of Fountain Valley, and Andrea Lynn Estrada, 45, of Irvine, were arrested for suspicion of burglary and fraudulently obtaining a controlled substance and figure in an ongoing investigation involving hydrocodone and fake prescriptions. Bail was set at $50,000.

Traffic stop. 4:08 p.m., 200 block of Bluebird Canyon Dr. Marco Domenico Licursi, 23, of San Clemente, stopped for failing to yield to a pedestrian, was arrested for suspicion of possession of heroin and syringes. Bail was set at $20,000.

 

Sunday, June 30

Traffic stop. 12:23 a.m. 1000 block of S. Coast Hwy. Emiliya Lepskaya Freeman, 35, of Irvine, was arrested for suspicion of DUI. Bail was set at $10,000 due to a previous arrest.

Traffic stop. Cress St. 2:14 a.m. A 31-year-old Mammoth Lakes man was arrested for DUI and held for $2500 bail.

Vandalism. 300 block of Ocean Ave. 9 a.m. A window was discovered shattered.

Traffic stop. 11:44 p.m. N. City Limits. A 41-year-old Aliso Viejo man was arrested for DUI and held for $2500 bail.

 

Monday, July 1

Traffic stop. 1:50 a.m. 2300 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. A 26-year-old Irvine man was arrested for DUI and held for $2500 bail.

Traffic stop.. 2:17 p.m. 200 block of N. Coast Highway. A 19-year-old from Newport Beach was arrested for furnishing marijuana to another and possessing fake ID’s when a bicycle officer observed two people in a car light up in traffic.

Disturbance. 9:36 p.m. 21600 Treetop Lane. A 16-year-old from Huntington Beach was detained for vandalism after being caught writing graffiti at Top of the World School. Nine juveniles were cited for curfew and released to parents.
