Structure fire. 1000 block of Catalina. 10:22 a.m. Everyone was evacuated from a building where a fire broke out in a laundry area.
Tuesday, July 15
Structure fire. 100 block of Cleo St. 7:38 p.m. A fire erupted at a patio BBQ.
Wednesday, July 16
Burglary. 1900 bock of S. Coast Hwy. 12:26 p.m. Someone attempted to gain entry by breaking a lock.
Traffic hazard. Laguna and Glenneyre streets. 3 p.m. Police responding to a call about a car blocking the roadway arrested 56-year-old Laguna Beach woman for suspicion of DUI.
Thursday, July 17
Traffic stop. Broadway St. 1:31 a.m. Donald Elwood Dean, 22, of Huntington Beach, who was pulled over for speeding, was arrested for a $20,000 grand theft warrant.
Petty theft. 600 block of Virginia Park Dr. 8 a.m. Items were taken overnight from three unlocked vehicles.
Disturbance. 200 block of Lower Cliff Dr. 10:27 a.m. David Achim, 31, and Mary Tracy Patrasich, 55, both of Laguna Beach, were arrested for suspicion of various drug charges.
Petty theft. 400 block of Bent Dr. 10:39 a.m. Items valued at $300 were taken from a vehicle.
Traffic stop. Ramona Ave. 10:29 p.m. A 43-year-old Minnesota woman was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Friday, July 18
Traffic stop. 100 block of S. Coast Hwy. 1 a.m. A 37-year-old Newport Coast woman was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Shots fired. 200 block of Grandview St. 3:55 a.m. Police found two shell casings and an inebriated resident, who denied firing a weapon. No one was injured or arrested.
Traffic collision. 20600 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. 5 p.m. A motorcyclist escaped injury after colliding with a vehicle that turned in front of him.
Defraud innkeeper. 200 block of Forest Ave. 5:53 p.m. Jette Marie Larsen, 48, of Mammoth Lakes, was arrested for suspicion of burglary after trying to skip out on a $40.95 tab. Bail was set at $20,000.
Traffic stop. Forest Ave. 10:41 a.m. A 45-year-old Yorba Linda woman was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Traffic stop. 200 block of Agate St. 11:44 p.m. A 39-year-old Laguna Hills man was cited for DUI and held for $2,500 bail.
Stolen vehicle. 200 block of Bluebird Canyon Dr. 11:49 p.m. Jesus Emmanual Jimenez Jaimes, 31, of Perris, was arrested for suspicion of car theft. He told police his ex-wife may have reported the vehicle. Bail was set at $20,000.
Saturday, July 19
DUI. 200 block of Brooks St. 2:23 a.m. A 28-year-old Cooke, Tex., man was cited for DUI.
Burglary. 2200 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. 3:41 a.m. Computers were stolen in a break-in at the college library. Police believe thieves gained entry by using a rock to shatter glass windows.
Traffic collision. 100 block of N. Coast Hwy. 6:11 p.m. A 59-year-old Laguna Beach man was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Traffic stop. 200 block of Forest Ave. 9:55 p.m. Matthew Daniel Garcia, 24, of Laguna Niguel, was cited for suspicion of DUI and held for $10,000 bail due to a previous violation.
Sunday, July 20
Traffic stop. 300 block of Broadway St. 1:34 a.m. A 48-year-old Henderson, Nev., woman was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Pedestrian stop. 3200 block of Alta Laguna Blvd. 1:42 a.m. Four juveniles were detained near the Carolyn Wood Knoll.
Stolen vehicle. 600 block of Park Ave. 2:43 a.m. A pickup was stolen overnight.
Traffic stop. Cleo St. 12 p.m. Christopher Seymour, 32, of Lytle Creek, was arrested for suspicion of meth possession and other charges after a search of his vehicle. Bail was set at $20,000.
Drug activity. 700 block of Cress St. A 19-year-old was cited for possessing alcohol after police were called about a group of pot smokers at a concert in the park.
Drug activity. 1600 block of Thurston Dr. 7 p.m. Of four 16-year-olds, one admitted to supplying marijuana to his friends and was charged with felony hash possession, while the others were cited for misdemeanor offenses.
