Burglary. 30800 block of Coast Hwy. 11:52 a.m. Sunglasses worth $450 were taken.
Burglary. 3000 block of Alta Laguna Blvd. 3:37 p.m. Construction tools worth $1,500 were taken from a locked storage box.

Fraud. 1200 block of Morningside dr. 2:28 p.m. The victim received letters from a cell carrier, bank and retailer on new accounts that he did not open.
Fraud. 400 block of El bosque 6:44 p.m. Someone attempted to open an account using a resident’s identity.

Traffic collision. Laguna Ave. 12:59 p.m. A pedestrian suffered minor injuries in a collision with a vehicle.
Petty theft. 3100 block of Mountain View Dr. 7:54 p.m. Someone took a rain barrel.
Traffic collision. S. Coast Hwy. 10 p.m. A 50-year-old resident was struck by a motorist, 69, from Nevada. While under investigation, alcohol is not involved, police say.

Hazardous condition. 32200 block of Coast Hwy. 7:56 a.m. A strong smell of gas came from an RV where all the windows were shattered.
Rape. 1500 block of S. Coast Hwy. 3:59 p.m. No details were provided.

Vandalism. 700 block of Griffith Way. 10:29 a.m. A resident’s vehicle was egged.

DUI. Laguna Canyon Rd. 12:31 a.m. A 27-year-old from Aliso Viejo was cited for DUI.
Traffic stop. Forest Ave. 12:49 a.m. A 48-year-old Laguna Beach man was cited for DUI.
Disorderly person. 30800 block of Coast Hwy. 1:22 a.m. A 41-year-old Stanton man, who refused to leave the firepit, was cited for an outstanding warrant.
Fraud. 21500 block of Wesley Dr. 12:58 p.m. A resident who earlier this month met a man on Facebook wired him money three times, nearly $11,000, known as a “sweetheart scam.”
Traffic collision. 20600 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. 7:28 p.m. A 25-year-old Aliso Viejo motorcyclist was arrested for DUI after being taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Traffic collision. 700 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. 12:01 a.m. A motorist who possibly fell asleep hit the city’s message board.
Traffic stop. Montage resort. 12:33 a.m. A 34-year-old Laguna Niguel man was cited for DUI.
Traffic stop. 100 block of Brooks St. 2:57 a.m. Dava Voss Spears, 46, of Irvine, was arrested four outstanding warrants.
Traffic stop. Crescent Bay Dr. 4:16 a.m. Ernesto Alegandro Toledano, 23, and Angel Emmanuel Monjaraz, 20, both of Buena Park, were cited for warrants and released.
Fraud. 1000 S. Coast hwy. 5:16 p.m. Three businesses reported a blond female in her 30s attempted to pass fake $100 bills. Two shops accepted the bills and a third refused.
Drunk driving. Broadway St. 7:11 p.m. Following reports of erratic driving, Jason Lowell Hamm, 46, of San Marcos, was arrested for suspicion of felony DUI and child endangerment. In the car were his children, aged 7, 8 and 9, who were released to the custody of a grandfather. Bail was set at $100,000.
