Pedestrian stop. 100 block of N. Coast Hwy. 9 a.m. Michael Hays Matekel, 28, of Laguna Beach, was arrested for multiple outstanding warrants.
Warrant service. 1100 block of Glenneyre St. 9:53 a.m. Joel Cruz Herrera, 37, of Laguna Beach, was arrested for three drug related warrants.
Fraud. Lagunita Drive. 11:42 a.m. An unknown person attempted to file taxes using the resident’s information.
Tuesday, April 4
Traffic stop. 100 block of S. Coast Hwy. 3:59 a.m. Kyle Cary McMullin, 31, of Brea, was cited for outstanding San Bernardino County warrants.
Stolen vehicle. 1600 block of Eleanor Lane. A 2010 Range Rover was stolen.
Pedestrian stop. Anita and Glenneyre Streets. 11:11 a.m. Jason Motis, 49, of Laguna Beach, was cited for outstanding warrants.
Stolen vehicle. Laguna Canyon Road. 6 p.m. Thomas Ray Nordberg Jr., 38, of Manhattan Beach, was arrested for suspicion of theft of a rental car.
Wednesday, April 5
Traffic stop. 31700 block of Coast Highway. Javier Espindola Desiderio, 34, of San Juan Capistrano, was arrested for outstanding warrants and vehicle code violations.
Traffic collision. Laguna Canyon Road. 10:52 a.m. One person was injured in a two-car collision.
Petty theft. 1200 block of N. Coast Hwy. 7 p.m. Cabinets and power tools were stolen out of a carport.
Public intoxication. 1500 block of S. Coast Hwy. 7:30 p.m. A Laguna Beach woman, 50, who refused to pay for a taxi, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Suspicious. 200 block of Wave St. A search by officers fails to locate a man who allegedly threatened his girl friend and her mother with a gun.
Thursday, April 6
Traffic stop. 1600 block of Carmelita St. 1:30 a.m. Shane Christopher Roach, 24, of Mission Viejo, was cited for DUI and held for $10,000 bail due to a prior offense.
Traffic stop. Cliff Dr. 2:33 a.m. Officers who stopped Rodrigo Padilla, 22, of Irvine, for allegedly running a stop sign, arrested him for suspicion of possessing Ecstasy, Adderall and another illegal drug. Bail was set at $25,000 .
Suspicious. 100 block of Coast Hwy. 10:30 a.m. A homeless man was detained after making threatening remarks about police to an ambulance driver.
Kidnapping. 31800 block of Coast Hwy. Timothy Meek, 27, of Napa, who alleged he had been kidnapped and then later recanted, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Petty theft. 600 block of N. Coast Hwy. 9:08 p.m. A man left with six bottles of wine in a backpack.
Friday, April 7
Suspicious person. 400 block of Shadow Lane. Police encountered unfit living conditions and took custody of a child while investigating an accident involving adults at the premises. The juvenile was taken to Orangewood.
Domestic violence. 600 block of Bolsana Dr. 12:48 p.m. Police arrested Richard Alan Hendrickson, 67, of Corona del Mar, for suspicion of domestic violence, citing injuries to the victim’s elbows and right shoulder. Bail was set at $50,000.
Fraud. Hillhaven Ranch Way. 6:32 p.m. A resident reported $500 in charges on a closed checking account.
Saturday, April 8
Traffic stop. Short Street. 12:58 a.m. A 28-year-old Irvine resident was cited for DUI.
Traffic stop. 200 block of Ledroit Street. 7:28 a.m. An Anaheim man, 38, was cited for a warrant.
Petty theft. 500 block of Coast Hwy. 10:52 a.m. A proprietor reported video footage of a patron who left without paying for a $2 ice cream and wants to pursue prosecution.
Disturbance. 300 block of Ocean Ave. Michael Shawn Moody, 36, who police describe as homeless, was arrested for suspicion of misdemeanor assault after he allegedly threw food he was dissatisfied with at a woman who had given it to him.
Reckless driving. Broadway Street. 6 p.m. A Mission Viejo man initially arrested in a road rage incident was released without charge after police reviewed video and interviewed witnesses.
Suspicious. 100 block of Thalia St. 8:26 p.m. Reports about a naked man yelling resulted in the public drunkenness arrest of a 27-year-old from Tennessee.
Disturbance. 700 block of Thalia St. 8:36 p.m. Police broke up a party at a house where the owner was out of town and the teen-age host was supposed to be staying with friends. Police could not say if the owner will be charged under the city’s social host ordinance.
Sunday, April 9
Sleeper. 300 block of Glenneyre St. 6:15 a.m. Terry Sanders, 39, who is homeless, was arrested on two drunk in public warrants.
Pedestrian stop. 300 block of Legion St. 10:16 a.m. William Hemphill, 66, also homeless, was cited for a warrant and trespassing.
Pedestrian stop. Beach. 12:27 p.m. Reese Westenberger, 51, described as a transient, was arrested for two warrants.
