The Laguna Beach High School’s surf team competed in the first league event of the season against Dana Hills, which won the competition at Salt Creek last Thursday, Sept. 29, Coaches Scott Finn and Alisa Cairns reported.
Dante Madrigal took a first in longboard and second in shortboard.
Others with top scores include Jeremy Shutts, Jake Levine and Trey Lockhart. Among girls, Kayla Coscino and Jameson Roller and Grace Wellsfry finished strong on the longboard.
Other competitors include Kiko Nelsen, Liam McCue and Kalohe Danbara along with Noah North, Holden Geary, and Spencer Davis.
