Members of the Laguna Beach High School surf team performed well and earned a spot in each division final during the individual league surfing finals held at Upper Trestles last week.

Top competitors from San Clemente, Dana Hills and Newport Harbor also vied for individual honors.

Kiko Nelsen finished second overall, the highest finish for Laguna boys.

Laguna girls continued to shine with Kayla Coscino finishing as a runner-up in shortboard and longboard, Claire Kelly in longboard and Tess Booth in shortboard, both took third.

Jameson Roller’s longboard noserides earned a fifth place finish.

Travis Booth proved his mettle as an iron man, competing in three divisions over the two days. He took a fourth in bodyboard and missed the longboard final by less than a point. He came back on shortboard, going to the final to finish sixth overall.

Most of the boys advanced several rounds; eight in the quarter final, four in the semi final and two in the final.
