Angelides to Sign Banking Crises Report
Former California state treasurer Phil Angelides, who served as chairman of the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission, will sign copies of the commission’s report at 6 p.m. Monday, March 28, at Newport Beach’s Barnes and Noble in Fashion Island.
Local Pens Addendum to Financial Crises
Laguna Beach resident and retired former academic Douglas Sikorski has contributed an analysis of the current financial and economic crisis included in a recently published book.
His essay, “The Global Financial Crisis: Explanations & Implications,” is the second chapter in an academic book, “Contemporary Studies in Economic and Financial Analysis,” Volume 93, edited by Jonathan Batten and Peter G. Szilagyi and published this year by UK’s Emerald Group Publishing.
