Writers Share Love Stories

The Third Street Writers led by Victoria Kertz invite all to the Suzi Q Center at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11, when the writers will share original stories on the theme of Love and Other Tall Tales.

An open mic follows for sharing an original three-minute work of any genre. Light refreshments will be served.

Laguna local Debra Oakland’s first book, “Change Your Movie, Change Your Life,” makes it debut Wednesday, Feb. 17.

Oakland is founder of Living in Courage Online, a support group for those experiencing life’s biggest challenges. After losing two children and two brothers over four years, her father also died from prostate cancer.

Oakland created the platform to offer a forum to share stories.
