Vogue Salon co-owners Donato and Antonietta Bianchini, center, with assistance from 12 stylists and staff, styled the hair of 20 residents from the Friendship Shelter. The shelter’s executive director, Dawn Price, right, and outreach manager Taylor Mathieson, left, were on-hand.

When they moved from the St. Regis hotel to the Old Pottery Place in Laguna Beach, owner and artistic director of Vogue Salon, Donato Bianchini, and his wife and manager, Antonietta, looked to establish local roots.

After asking their clients, they settled on a partnership with Laguna’s Friendship Shelter, which has provided shelter and supportive services to nearly 7,000 homeless adults since 1987.

To date, Vogue Salon has provided in-kind donations such as clothing, bedding and personal hygiene and last month a “Style for Success” event.
