Watercolor, Early California Inform ‘Art Talks’

Artist and local resident Kirsten Whalen, a five year exhibitor, shares her knowledge with festival visitors.

Festival of Arts painter Kirsten Whalen leads an exploration of the watercolor medium joined by fellow exhibitors David Milton, Roger Folk and Geri Medway at noon on Tuesday, July 10, on the Festival’s green.

On Thursday, July 12, also at noon, Mark Hilbert, a longtime collector of early California art, shares his collection comprised of paintings by regionalist artists. Some of his collection can be viewed in “The Good Life” and in “Millard Sheets”.

Bag lunches from Gina’s will be available for purchase or you can bring your own. The lecture series is free with admission to the Festival, 650 Laguna Canyon Rd.
