Floral Design Class

Floral design instructor Debby Neville is back working her magic for classes from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on four Fridays from April 22 to May 13. Register by the Wednesday prior to each class. The cost is $45 per class, which includes all materials.

Memoir Writing Workshop

In classes held 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays from April 26 to May 31, you will learn the tools necessary for telling your own story. Discover your personal writing voice, style and purpose. The cost is $95.

Writers’ Workshop

For this 10-week course, held from noon to 3 p.m. on Thursdays, April 28 to June 30, writers will receive constructive feedback from the instructor and their peers on works-in-progress. The cost is $100 for the series or $12 for drop ins.

Communicating In Close Relationships

Psychologist Marion Jacobs teaches how to use six talk tools in this free class from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, to become a more aware and effective conversationalist.

Beginning Bridge Lessons

Life master Ann Cressman teaches eight beginning bridge lessons starting Friday, April 29, for a cost of $100. Each session will start with a lesson on basic bidding techniques and responses.

Intermediate Supervised Play Bridge Lessons

This eight-week class.is designed for players who want to brush up on their bridge skills. Registration and pre-payment of $100 is required. Begins 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Mondays, beginning May 2.

Planning for Disability and Incapacity

Attorney Amy Huff offers a free presentation from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, to assist participants in planning their future. Learn the difference between a will and trust, the benefit of powers of attorney for health care and finances, and how to pay for a nursing home. Pre-registration is required.

Poetry Writing Workshop

Learn the qualities and literary techniques used in poetry. The eight-week workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Fridays from May 13 to July 1, for a fee of $120.

Clearing The Clutter

Judy Hoyt Pettigrew will show participants how to collect, catalogue and communicate their financial plans, life plan goals and final arrangement wishes. Pre-registration is required. 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and again from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 19.

Great Park Presentation

Part spokesman Sam Allevato speaks at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, to discuss the park’s upcoming change.
