Boys Basketball (5-3)

Breakers opened the Westminster Tournament on Monday, Dec. 12, with a 54-41 victory over El Segundo at Westminster High. Jake Dalke hit for 17 points, Cole Kesler 16 in the win. Laguna pulled away with a 21-point second period streak.

 

Last Friday Laguna lost a tough 57-54 contest at Irvine. Kesler had 18 points, Dalke 16 in the loss. Laguna competed in the Westminster Tournament this week and then face La Habra on Dec. 21 in the North-South Challenge at El Toro High School. After Christmas, Laguna will participate in the Estancia Tournament opening with Marina on Dec. 27.

 

Girls Basketball (0-2)

Laguna got off to a tough start losing to Fullerton 74-17 on Dec. 7 at Dugger Gym and 55-13 to San Juan Hills this past Tuesday at home.  Breakers traveled to Capo Valley Christian yesterday and play in the Santiago Tournament in Garden Grove next week.

 

Girls Soccer (0-4-1)

Breakers lost two matches dropping a 1- non-league match to San Juan Hills on Dec. 6 at Laguna then losing 4-0 to Marina on Dec. 9 in Ocean View Tournament play.

 

Girls Water Polo (2-0)

Laguna defeated Dana Hills 16-6 on Dec. 7, blasting the Dolphins at the local pool. Yoshi Anderson and Makenzie Fischer each scored six goals to power Laguna. Jenna Knott had eight saves and two steals.
