The school district continues to partner with the Children and Families Commission of Orange County to implement the School Readiness Initiative, to promote early learning experiences that influence school success.
Program facilitator Julie Olsen and school readiness nurse Kathleen Knott are working together with new team members to assist children and their families in preparation for kindergarten entrance. Their team includes psychologist Grace Jones and autism/behavior specialist Luisa Martinez. Together, they are able to provide outreach to
district families to identify children early with special needs.
