Members of the Laguna Beach High School surf team made the individual finals in all divisions at the second event in the Scholastic Surf Series in Huntington Beach earlier this month.

Despite absences due to vacations, illness and injuries, a team was assembled with many stepping up to compete in multiple divisions.

In competing against St. Margaret’s full team, Laguna came up short, but three short boarders, Jameson Roller, Jackson Jenkins and Sam Starr, surfed in short board and long board and Jameson also competed in body board.

Tess Booth competed in both short and long board. Kelly Smith surfed in short board and Jade Howson on long board.

Laguna ended up being edged out by 10 points in the team competition, but most of the kids continued on in the individual competition where they dominated nearly each division final.
