Junior Curators Plan Daydreams and Nightmares

Plans are now underway for “Daydreams and Nightmares,” a juried show of works by students from Thurston Middle School and LBHS. The show will open in late February at the LBHS campus library.

Funded by a grant to LOCA from the Festival of Arts Foundation, the professional studies Junior Curator program gives selected students real world experience in curating two separate exhibitions. Under guidance of LOCA mentors, students write proposals and call-for-entries, analyze locations, jury submitted works, and market the shows.

Students wishing to apply may obtain a call-for-entries form at the Thurston main office, or the LBHS library reception desk.

For information on Junior Curators, email Sherry Bullard at [email protected].
