New Art Unveiled at MacDonald Reception
Sculptor Richard MacDonald will unveil a collection of never-before-seen works of art on Saturday, Nov. 10. The public is invited to a special artist’s reception from 8 to 10 p.m. at Dawson Cole Fine Art, 326 Glenneyre St.
Additionally, an afternoon reception on Sunday, Nov. 11 will be held from noon until 3 p.m.

To Rise and Shine
The nonprofit Rise2Shine is putting on its first Artist Shine4Haiti Charity Art show Thursday, Nov. 15 at Tivoli Too, 777 Laguna Canyon Rd., from 7 to 10:30 p.m.
Tickets are $25 pre-sale, $35 at the door. The event features exhibited artwork, music, and food. All donations go to benefit child-care centers in Haiti.

Students Aid Sandy’s Victims
College art students will be donating art and auctioning it on Monday, Nov. 19, to raise relief funds for Sandy victims.
The public is invited to come to the Laguna College of Art & Design auction from 4:30-6 p.m. on campus to support.
Opting For Recklessness
A new exhibition, “Reckless Optimism,” featuring commercial snowboard artist Mike Parillo premieres at CES Contemporary with an opening reception on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 6 to 9 p.m. at 480 Ocean Ave. The exhibit lasts until Dec. 9.
Works by Mixed Media Artist in the Spotlight
Artist Eye Laguna Gallery will feature the creative works of mixed-media artist, Duncan Asper, through Nov. 30. The gallery will also host an artist reception from 6-9 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 10, at 1294-A S. Coast Highway.
Duncan Asper’s art is the distillation of three decades in the creative side of the advertising industry as a freelance artist, art director, graphic and web designer.
